- Brown orthopedic gloves are produced on biomechanically optimized formers to reduce hand and thumb fatigue during surgery. For extra protection, these gloves have a slightly extended cuff and increased thickness (fingertip thickness is 0.35 mm [13.8 mil]). Made of polyisoprene materials to avoid latex sensitivities Double-gloving with a Biogel over-glove and underglove creates the Biogel Puncture Indication System that detects 97% of glove perforations. A clinical study shows non-Biogel gloves are 3.5 times more likely to fail than Biogel gloves. Size 6.5 gloves, like all surgical gloves, are packed in sterile pairs and are powder free.
