Across a broad range of surgical incisions, ALLEVYN Ag+ SURGICAL Dressings feature a unique four-layer construction designed to combine comfort and flexibility with antimicrobial efficacy to support post-operative infection management and control. Wound contact layer: A gentle silicone adhesive layer with proprietary ComfortSTAY Technology helps minimize pain and trauma to the wound and surrounding skin when removed. Silver foam layer with carbon: Provides a sustained antimicrobial action to kill bacteria when absorbed into the dressing. Superabsorbent core: Uses HighFLEX Technology to absorb and retain high levels of wound exudate, including vertically and under compression. Top film layer: The breathable external layer acts as bacterial barrier and protects the wound from a range of external organisms and contaminants. As an all-in-one dressing offering a high level of absorbency for effective exudate management, it facilitates and retains a moist wound environment to support the healing process after surgery.
